About Helen Paul
Helen Paul, born on January 29, 1978 in Lagos, Nigeria, is a Nigerian comedian, singer, and actress best known for her stand-up comedy routines as the character Tatafo. She has also appeared in the productions Mama Put, Igboya, and Akii The Blind.
Paul earned a degree in Theater Arts from the University of Lagos before beginning her career as an actress and comedian in 2011 with her debut in The Return of Jenifa. In the same year, she won the City People Entertainment Magazine Award for Female Comedian of the Year.
Throughout her entertainment career, Paul has received numerous accolades including Comedian of the Year at the 2012 African Film Awards and a Nigerian Broadcasters Merit Award for Outstanding TV Presenter in 2014.
She was raised in Lagos and has shared photos with her husband on Instagram since August 2019.
