Heather North (born December 13, 1950) was an American voice actress best known for her iconic role as Daphne in the Scooby-Doo animated television series. Born in Pasadena, California, North began her career with live action roles in episodes of popular TV shows like Mr. Novak, The Monkees, and Green Acres.
North’s talent for voice acting led to a successful career portraying beloved characters in various animated series. In addition to voicing Daphne in multiple iterations of Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo, she also lent her talents to the character Loni in Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels.
A noteworthy highlight of North’s career was co-starring alongside John Ritter and Kurt Russell in Disney’s The Barefoot Executive during the early 1970s. She married Days of Our Lives producer Wes Kenney in 1971; their partnership lasted until Kenney’s passing in 2015.
