Heather McDonald, born on June 14, 1970 in California, is a comedian known for her work as a performer and television writer for the E! comedy show Chelsea Lately. She also contributed to the MTV program Lyricist Lounge. Additionally, she is an author of the New York Times bestselling memoir You’ll Never Blue Ball in This Town Again: One Woman’s Painfully Funny Quest to Give It Up published in 2010.
McDonald graduated from the University of Southern California before training at Los Angeles’ The Groundlings improvisational comedy school and working as a stand-up comic. Notably, she earned a real estate license while building her performing career.
Growing up in a Catholic family of Irish and French-Canadian descent in Los Angeles area, McDonald is married to banker Peter Dobias with whom she has two children and one stepchild.
