About Heather Corinna
Heather Corinna, born on April 18, 1970 in Illinois, is an activist known for her work as an author, publisher, artist, and feminist. She is the founder of Scarleteen, a website that promotes positive sexuality, as well as Femmerotic, an art site. In addition to her online work, she has served as a contraception and abortion counselor at a sexual health clinic in Washington State.
Prior to her activism career, Corinna pursued studies in art, music and creative writing at the Chicago Academy of the Arts and worked as a Montessori teacher. Notably, her essay “The Door Into One Moment,Eternal” was nominated for the prestigious Pushcart Prize.
Corrina currently resides with her partner in Seattle,Washington.
