Han Hong, born on September 26, 1971 in China, is a world-renowned music singer known for her notable recordings such as “Tibetan Plateau” and “The Brightness of the Snow”. She gained further recognition as one of the judges for Chinese Idol. Prior to her fame, she received the Top Chinese Music Chart Award in 2004 and again in 2006.
In addition to her musical career, Han Hong’s personal life includes adopting a toddler whose parents were involved in a tragic cable car accident in 1999. This event inspired her to write the song “It’s Sunrise”. Born into a family of Han Chinese and Tibetan heritage in Chamdo, China; she had a difficult childhood with her father passing away early on and her mother working as a singer and actress.
