About Gwen Jorgensen
Gwen Jorgensen is an American triathlete known for her remarkable achievements in the sport. Born on April 25, 1986, in Waukesha, Wisconsin, she has become a prominent figure in the world of triathlon.
Jorgensen gained widespread recognition for her unprecedented feat of winning 13 consecutive World Triathlon Series competitions in both 2014 and 2015. Her exceptional talent and dedication led to her representation of the United States at the 2012 Olympics as well as earning a spot on the country’s team for the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Prior to her illustrious career as a triathlete, Jorgensen pursued academic and professional endeavors. She excelled as a college athlete at the University of Wisconsin before venturing into accounting and becoming a certified public accountant (CPA).
In addition to conquering numerous international races, including securing gold medals at the ITU Triathlon World Championships in 2014 and 2015, Jorgensen was honored with the title of ITU Female Athlete of the Year in 2014.
