About Grete Eliassen
Grete Eliassen is a freestyle skier born on September 21, 1988, in Minnesota. She gained recognition for winning X Games gold medals in the halfpipe in 2005 and 2006. Notably, she broke the Hip Jump World Record in 2010 by achieving a distance of more than 31, surpassing the previous record.
Prior to her fame as a skier, Eliassen spent a year living in Norway during her childhood and upon returning to the U.S., engaged in various sports such as hockey, tennis, and basketball.
Eliassen’s achievements include winning awards such as ESPN Best Performance in a Leading Role and IF3 Montreal Best Female Performance for her role in the ski movie “Say My Name.” Additionally, she has been married.
