Before gaining fame as a TV show host, she made her mark in TV news as an on-air legal analyst for CNN during O.J. Simpson’s 1994 murder trial. She later became the subject of a bidding war between CNN and Fox due to her growing popularity.
During her time at Fox News, she covered high-profile trials including those of Scott Peterson and Michael Jackson. Additionally, she reported extensively on events such as the Virginia Tech massacre.
In 1979, Greta married John P. Coale. Notably, her sister Lise Van Susteren was a well-known psychologist based in Washington D.C.
