About Grace Coddington
Grace Coddington, born on April 20, 1941 in Wales, is a renowned model who transitioned to a successful second career as a fashion editor and creative director for both the British and American versions of Vogue magazine. She attended a convent school in Wales before her modeling career took off when she won a Vogue young model competition at seventeen. In her mid-twenties, she was involved in a car accident that left her disfigured, leading her to leave modeling behind and pursue work as a fashion editor.
Coddington has been briefly married to restaurateur Michael Chow and photographer Willie Christie, and had a long-term relationship with hairstylist Didier Malige. Following her sister’s death, she became the guardian of her nephew.
