About Gogoia Sampaio
Gogoia Sampaio, born on January 18, 1968 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is a renowned fashion designer known for her work as a costume designer on various prominent Globo telenovelas such as “Salsa E Merengue,” “Star-Guide,” “The Color Of Sin,” and “Cheias De Charme.”
Her career took off when she started as an assistant on the Globo telenovela “The Dono do Mundo” in 1991. Prior to that, Sampaio initially pursued psychology at university before transitioning into working as a researcher on different TV documentaries. It was during this time that she met actress Maria Lucia Dahl and shared her aspirations of becoming a costume designer.
An interesting trivia about Sampaio is that her costumes were featured as the welcome display in the foyer of the 2012 Rio Film Festival.
She comes from a creative family; her parents are producer Adelia Ferreira and journalist Pedro Porfirio Sampaio.
