About Gloria Perez
Gloria Perez (born September 25, 1948) is a Brazilian screenwriter known for her work on several acclaimed telenovelas. She was born in Rio Branco, Brazil and began her writing career in the early 1980s, earning her first major credit in 1983 working for the series Eu Prometo.
Perez is best known for creating the Brazilian series O Clone and Caminho das Indias, as well as more recent shows such as Salve Jorge and Dupla Identidade. In addition to her writing credits, she was credited as an executive producer for the drama America in 2005.
Tragically, Perez’s daughter Daniella Perez, who was an actress, was murdered while working on her mother’s series De Corpo e Alma in December 1992.
