About Giulia Steingruber
Giulia Steingruber, born on March 24, 1994 in Gossau, Switzerland, is a Swiss artistic gymnast. She made her Olympic debut for Switzerland in 2012 and went on to win back-to-back European Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Championships in the vault in 2013 and 2014. In the 2016 Olympics, she earned a bronze medal.
Steingruber developed a passion for gymnastics at age 7 and was later named the Swiss Sportswoman of the Year in 2013 following her outstanding performances at the European and World Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Championships.
She comes from Gossau, St. Gallen, Switzerland and has a sister.
