Ginette Reno is an award-winning pop singer born on April 28, 1946 in Montreal, Canada. She rose to fame with her hit song “Beautiful Second Hand Man” in the 1970s and later transitioned into a successful acting career in the 1990s.

Before her rise to stardom, she won the Les Decouvertes de Jean Simon talent contest which led to invitations to perform at three different clubs. Throughout her career, Reno also starred in Jean-Claude Lauzon’s popular film Leolo where she played the title character’s mother.

Additionally, she earned a Best Actress award for her role in Le secret de ma mere in 2006.Reno was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec and was married to Bob Watier from 1965 until their separation in 1991.
