Gillian Taylforth, born on August 14, 1955 in England, is an English soap opera actress known for her portrayal of Kath on EastEnders for fifteen years. She also played the character Sandy in Hollyoaks from 2013 to 2014.Prior to her acting career, she worked as a secretary before landing her first role in the 1970s. Throughout her career, she had starring roles on The Bill and Footballers’ Wives.She is the mother of two children with Geoff Knights.
