About Gemma-Ashley Kaplan
Gemma-Ashley Kaplan is a South African stage actress born on November 14, 1985. Known for her work in both stage and television, she has portrayed Sally Durant in Follies and originated the role of Clara Makin in The Hatpin.
Before her rise to fame, Kaplan took ballet lessons and voice training while growing up. She later graduated with a Bachelor’s of Performing Arts from the Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts where she appeared in productions of West Side Story, Jane Eyre, and The Good Fight.
In addition to her stage work, Kaplan had a stint playing Molly Baker in select episodes of Neighbours between 2011 and 2012. She comes from an acting family, with younger sisters named Dena and Ariel Kaplan who are also actresses.
