About Gay Blackstone
Gay Blackstone is a magician and former President of the Academy of Magical Arts. Born on March 27, 1952 in Texas, she knew from a young age that she wanted to pursue magic. She worked hard to gain entry into The Magic Circle in London and became one of only 5 women to have done so.
In addition to her magical pursuits, Blackstone was also the international ambassador of the International Brotherhood of Magicians. Her wide range of skills included choreographed dancing, constructing wardrobes, directing, and managing production elements such as lighting.
Blackstone’s public recognition began at an early age when she appeared on the cover LOOK Magazine at just 2 years old. In 2007, The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce named her one of their Women of Distinction.
She was married to Harry Blackstone, Jr., another well-known magician.
