Gabrielle Ruiz is an American TV actress, best known for her role as Valencia Perez on The CW series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. Born in Edinburg, Texas on December 12, 1984, she had a passion for acting since childhood and was inspired to pursue a career in the performing arts after seeing her first Broadway show at age 12.
Ruiz graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts from Oklahoma City University. She made her television debut with appearances on popular shows such as Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Orange Is the New Black before landing her breakthrough role on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
Her talent also extends to film, earning acclaim for her performance in Sex, Love and Salsa which was recognized with the Best Supporting Actress award at RIFE’s Film Festival. Her family includes parents Eduardo and Sylvia Ruiz.
