About Free Marie
Free Marie, born on February 7, 1968 in Dorchester, Massachusetts, is a TV show host known for being the first host of the BET show 106 & Park. She is also a television producer and philanthropist who founded the Free4Life Foundation.
Prior to her role on 106 & Park, Free worked as a disc jockey at a Los Angeles station and co-hosted the Ed Lover Morning Show on Power 105.1 in New York City.
Before her rise to fame, she attended the Roxbury Center for Performing Arts for 11 years and participated in various singing and rapping groups. As a recording artist, she released her debut studio album called Pressure Free in 2003 and has appeared on albums by Wyclef Jean, Erick Sermon, Lisa Lopes and Ed O.G.
She was born Marie Antoinette Wright in Dorchester.
