About Frances Cornford
Frances Cornford (1886-03-30) was a British poet known for her verse collections such as Spring Morning, Autumn Midnight, and Mountains and Molehills. Some of her best-known individual poems include “To a Fat Lady Seen from the Train” and “The Guitarist Tunes Up”. She received a private education in Cambridge before publishing her debut work, The Holtbury Idyll, in 1908. Frances married fellow poet Francis Cornford and they had five children.
