About Folake Olowofoyeku
Folake Olowofoyeku (born October 26, 1983) is a Nigerian-born TV actress and musician. She is best known for her role as the titular Abishola in the CBS sitcom Bob Hearts Abishola. Prior to this, she also appeared in the film Death Race 2050 in 2017.
Olowofoyeku attended boarding school in Benin City before transferring to Vivian Fowler Memorial College for Girls in Ikeja, Lagos. Later, she attended Oxbridge Tutorial College before emigrating to the United States at age 18. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from City College of New York where she also played basketball.
Prior to her television success, Olowofoyeku began her acting career working in off-off-off-Broadway theater and also makes music under the moniker The Folake. She was born one of twenty children to parents Felicia and Babatunji Olowofoyeku.
