Florinda Meza, born on February 8, 1949, in Juchipila, Mexico, is a Mexican actress and producer best known for her iconic role as Dona Florinda in the comedy series El Chavo del Ocho. With a career spanning nearly 50 years, she has made over a dozen appearances on camera.
Prior to achieving fame with El Chavo del Ocho, Meza appeared in the television series El Chapulín Colorado. In addition to acting, she also ventured into production and was involved in both producing and acting in the Mexican telenovela Milagro y Magia. Her contributions extended to appearing in almost 700 episodes of the sketch comedy TV series Chespirito.
In her personal life, Meza was married to director and screenwriter Roberto Gomez Bolanos from 2004 until his passing in 2014.
