About Firas Zahabi
Firas Zahabi (born February 5, 1980) is a Canadian martial artist known for his role as the head of Tristar Gym. He initially gained recognition by winning two Canadian titles in muay Thai and earning two gold medals in wrestling before seeking formal training.
His interest in fighting was sparked by Royce Gracie, leading him to begin his training under Angelo Exeherakos, a Brazilian jiu-jitsu purple belt who had trained under Renzo Gracie.
Zahabi also holds a degree in philosophy, which he credits with enhancing his work within the martial arts community. As of now, he has amassed over 140,000 followers on Instagram.
He is married to Wafaa Zahabi.
