About Filip Pogady
Filip Pogady (born May 23, 1987) is an award-winning classical violinist from Bratislava, Slovakia. He has regularly performed with the Slovak Philharmonic and gained significant recognition through appearances on shows such as The Late Show with David Letterman. Pogady is a multiple-time winner of the Prima La Musica competition.
Pogady moved from Slovakia to Austria as a small child and started playing violin at the age of seven. He went on to earn his Master’s degree in violin performance from the Manhattan School of Music.
Aside from his musical pursuits, Pogady has also worked as a fashion model, representing high-end labels like Calvin Klein and Saks 5th Ave. He has an older sister named Petra.
