About Faye Wong
Faye Wong (born August 8, 1969) is a Chinese singer-songwriter and actress known for her work in the pop music genre. Hailing from Beijing, China, Wong has gained international recognition through collaborations with various artists and for lending her voice to “Eyes on Me,” the theme song of the popular video game Final Fantasy VIII.
Prior to achieving fame, Wong honed her craft by releasing six albums of cover songs during high school, all distributed in cassette tape format. Her father was a mining engineer, while her mother garnered acclaim as a soprano in the world of music.
In personal matters, Wong has been married twice; first to musician Dou Wei in 1996 with whom she had a daughter named Dou Jingtong in 1997. Following their divorce, she wed actor Li Yapeng in 2005 and gave birth to their daughter Li Yan in 2006 before divorcing in 2013.
