Fanny Eaton, born on June 23, 1835, in Saint Andrew Parish, Jamaica, was a renowned artist’s model best known for her appearances in works of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. This group included influential English painters and poets such as John Everett Millais, Rebecca Solomon, and Dante Gabriel Rossetti.
She began her career as a model by appearing in a pencil sketch by Simeon Solomon in 1859. Over time, she gained recognition for her striking features and became a muse for several prominent artists.
In addition to being remembered through art history, Fanny Eaton was honored with a Google Doodle in 2020. She married James Eaton, a horse cab driver, in 1857 and together they had ten children.
