About Fanny Brice
Fanny Brice (1891-10-29) was an American comedian, singer, theater and film actress known for her work in the radio comedy series “The Baby Snooks Show” and her signature song “My Man,” which she first sang in the 1921 Ziegfeld Follies. She began her career by dropping out of school in 1908 to work in a burlesque revue and later headlined in the Ziegfeld Follies from 1910 to 1911. Brice received the Grammy Hall of Fame Award for her 1921 recording of “My Man.” Her personal life included marrying Julius Nicky Arnstein, who later served time at Leavenworth penitentiary before disappearing upon release. After having two children with Arnstein, she married Billy Rose in 1929.
