About Evynne Hollens
Evynne Hollens (born July 29, 1977) is a pop singer, vocal coach, and YouTube star from Oregon. She is best known for being a co-founder of the University of Oregon’s all-female a cappella group Divisi, in which she sang for five years.
The book and movie Pitch Perfect were inspired by her and Divisi’s performance at the 2005 International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella Finals.
Hollens graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and minor in Music. She later attended the Contemporary Arts Project 21 Conservatory in New York City as a musical theater student.
As part of her career, she worked as a performer on Royal Caribbean Cruise ships. Hollens has also gained over 350,000 subscribers on YouTube for her musical content.
She is married to Peter Hollens and they have two sons named Ashland and Saylor.
