About Evgenia Medvedeva
Evgenia Medvedeva is a renowned figure skater who was born on November 19, 1999, in Moscow, Russia. She has achieved numerous accomplishments in her career, including being the 2016 World and European champion, as well as the 2016 Russian national champion. In addition to these titles, she also earned the world record score for the ladies’ free program at the 2016 World Championships. At the 2018 Olympics, she secured silver medals for both the team and singles events.
Prior to her rise to fame, Evgenia began skating at just three years old and later joined the Olympic Reserve Sports School no. 37 in 2008. Her senior national debut occurred at the 2012 Russian Championships where she finished in 8th place. Notably, she also set the junior-level ladies’ record for the short program at the 2015 ISU World Junior Championships.
Evgenia’s father Arman Babasyan is Armenian while her mother was a figure skater; however, her parents later divorced.
