About Evelyn Taft
Evelyn Taft, born on August 24, 1984 in California, is an award-winning journalist known for her work as a meteorologist. She received the Golden Mike Award for Best Weather Segment in Southern California and holds the National Weather Association Seal of Approval.
Prior to joining CBS2/KCAL9, Taft worked at KRON 4 in the San Francisco Bay Area where she forecasted the weather for their morning show. She attended the Annenberg School of Journalism at the University of Southern California and later obtained a certificate in meteorology from Mississippi State.
Outside of her professional career, Taft has lived in France and London and extensively traveled through Israel, Europe, Asia, and Central and South America. Notably, she has climbed Machu Picchu. Growing up in the Bay Area with Russian-born parents enabled her to speak Russian fluently.
