About Eve Bunting
Eve Bunting is a Young Adult Author renowned for her contributions to children’s and young adult literature. Born on December 19, 1928, in Northern Ireland, she made significant strides in the literary world. Her notable works include “One More Flight,” which earned her a Golden Kite Award in 1976, and “Coffin on a Case!” for which she received an Edgar Award in 1992.
Throughout her career, she authored over 250 books. Before pursuing writing as a profession, Bunting attended Methodist College and Queen’s University in Northern Ireland before taking writing courses at Pasadena City College in California.
Bunting published her first story, titled “The Two Giants,” in 1971. She also taught creative writing at the University of California, Los Angeles.
She was born to Mary Canning Bolton and Sloan Edmund Bolton in Maghera, Northern Ireland. Later on, Eve lived with her husband Edward Davison Bunting and their children Glenn, Sloan, and Christine across Scotland and the United States.
