Eva Longoria is an American actress born on March 15, 1975 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She rose to fame for her portrayal of Gabrielle Solis on the ABC hit series Desperate Housewives and has since appeared in Telenovela, Mother Up!, and as the titular character’s mom in the film Dora the Explorer.
Before her acting career took off, Longoria gained recognition by winning the title of Miss Corpus Christi in 1998 during her college years. She made early appearances on shows like Beverly Hills, 90210 and General Hospital.
In addition to her acting work, she has won multiple Screen Actors Guild Awards and was honored as Philanthropist of the Year by The Hollywood Reporter in 2009. Her achievements also include winning the Alma Award for Person of the Year in 2006.
