Eva Ayllon, born on February 6th, 1956 in Lima, Peru, is an Afro-Peruvian singer and songwriter recognized as a national treasure of Peru. Her grandmother initiated her singing education at the age of three, setting her on her path to becoming a world-renowned musician.
Ayllon has had a prolific career and has been nominated for the Latin Grammy Award for Best Folk Album six times, which makes history as the most nominations without a win.
She eventually moved to the United States and raised her two children in New Jersey.
