About Eteri Andjaparidze
Eteri Andjaparidze is a Russian pianist, born on September 15, 1956 in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia. She is known for her solo and collaborative recitals as well as her work with famous orchestras.
Andjaparidze made her debut at the age of nine with the Georgian State Symphony Orchestra. She achieved international recognition after winning the Grand Prix at the 1976 Montreal International Piano Competition, becoming the first Soviet pianist to do so.
Coming from a musical family background, with her mother Yvette Bachtadze being a pianist and her father Zurab Andjaparidze a leading tenor with the Bolshoi Opera and Tbilisi Paliashvili State Opera and Ballet Theatre.
