About Esra Alaseil
Esra Alaseil (born November 17, 1995) is an Iraqi singer-songwriter known for her work in world music. She rose to fame with hits such as “Abu Elbanat” and “Matseer Ilak Kul Chara”, amassing a following of 4.8 million on Instagram.
Alaseil began her career by debuting her first music video, “Alaik Adiee”, on the channel Aghanina in 2011. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with fellow singers Nour Al Zain, Saif Nabeel, and Ali Bader.
Born in Amman, Jordan, Esra comes from a musical background; her father is the Iraqi singer and musician Ali Alaseil while her mother is of Jordanian-Palestinian descent.
