About Erin Hawksworth
Erin Hawksworth, born on March 31, 1981 in Vancouver, Canada, is a journalist known for her work as a sports anchor for CNN International in Atlanta, Georgia. She began her career with roles at Rogers Sportsnet in Canada and KCPQ in Seattle before moving to positions in Boston, Dallas and Grand Junction.
Hawksworth attended Arizona State University where she earned an academic scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and mass communication. During her time at ASU, she interned with NBC during the 2004 Summer Olympics and also worked as an intern in the sports department of KPNX Phoenix, Arizona.
In addition to her journalistic pursuits, Hawksworth has appeared as an extra in the comedy “Saving Silverman” and featured in a Mr. Clean commercial. She was recognized by Bleacher Report as one of the 40 Most Popular Sports Reporters of 2013.
Originally from Vancouver, British Columbia, Hawksworth spent much of her childhood in Sammamish, Washington. Her younger brother Blake pitched for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
