Ericka Dunlap, born on December 29, 1981 in Orlando, Florida, is a notable pageant contestant. She made history by becoming the first African American to win the Miss Florida pageant and later became the 77th Miss America in 2004. In addition to her achievements in pageantry, she is known for her philanthropic efforts as the founder of The Crown Jewel Foundation.

Prior to her fame, Dunlap was a member of the Delta Sigma Theta sorority during her time at the University of Central Florida. Her contributions extend beyond pageantry as she has also appeared in various films including District 9. Additionally, she competed alongside her then-husband Brian Kleinschmidt on The Amazing Race’s fifteenth season where they finished third.
