About Eri Kamei
Eri Kamei is a Japanese pop singer who was born on December 23, 1988, in Japan. She rose to fame as a member of the sixth generation of the popular pop group Morning Musume in 2003 and remained with the group until her graduation in 2010. Her time with Morning Musume included regular appearances on the variety show Hello! Morning, where she had her own segment.
Prior to joining Morning Musume, Eri participated in the Morning Musume Love Audition in 2002 and made her debut appearance with the group on their single “Shabondama.” In addition to her music career, she also appeared as Stepsister Portia in Cinderella the Musical in 2008.
Her younger sister Rina Kamei is an actress.
