About Emma-Lee
Emma-Lee is a Canadian pop singer, songwriter, and photographer known for her acclaimed debut album “Never Just a Dream,” released in 2008. Her sudden rise to fame resulted in opportunities such as being featured as the iTunes song of the week, a performance on CBC News Sunday, and winning an Independent Music Award.
In addition to her solo career, Emma-Lee has co-written songs for other artists including Alee’s single “Only the Strong Survive,” which reached #32 on the Canadian Country Charts. She also released her second album “Backseat Heroine” in 2012, winning in the Best Adult Contemporary category at the Independent Music Awards.
Prior to her music career taking off, Emma-Lee worked various jobs including being a receptionist, bartender, waitress, movie extra, and telemarketer while pursuing her passion for music and photography.
She has gained attention for creating an alter ego publicist named Dale Cole to launch a press campaign for her first independent album. Emma-Lee has also recorded jingles for several well-known Canadian brands such as Tim Horton’s, Telus,and Winners.
