Emily Mann Feet

Emily Mann, born on April 12, 1952 in Boston, Massachusetts, is an accomplished theater director and playwright. She has served as the Artistic Director of the McCarter Theater for over 25 seasons.

Prior to her illustrious career in theater, Mann obtained her BA in English from Harvard University and her MFA in Theater Directing from The University of Minnesota.

One of Mann’s notable achievements includes the premiere of her play “Execution of Justice” at the renowned Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The play went on to win the HBO New Plays USA Award.

Mann continues to be a prominent figure in the world of theater and was born into a family located within Massachusetts’s lively cultural scene.
