About Emily Abbott
Emily Abbott (born March 25, 1989) is a Canadian bodybuilder and CrossFit athlete. She gained recognition after placing first at the 2016 Canada West Open and eighth at the 2015 Reebok CrossFit Games.
Abbott began her CrossFit journey in 2012 when she sought to lose weight gained during a post-college tour of Europe. Prior to her athletic career, she played basketball for the University of Windsor where she won two national championships.
Born and raised in Calgary, Canada, Abbott grew up working on her family’s farm with her two siblings.
