Elle Downs, born on April 27, 1973 in Toronto, Canada, is a Canadian actress known for her diverse supporting roles in both TV and film. She has appeared in productions such as Godsend, Wild Card, and Saw VI. Notably, her daughters Riele and Reiya Downs have also pursued acting careers.

Prior to gaining recognition as an actress, Elle was involved in dancing during high school and took part in pageants. Her achievements led to being crowned Miss Black Canada. Despite infrequent collaborations with her daughters on screen, she made a guest appearance on Degrassi: Next Class as Mrs. Powers alongside her daughter Shay Powers.

Elle comes from Jamaican and Native American heritage and was raised by her great grandmother and great aunt.
