Elizabeth Montgomery was a TV actress best known for her role as the witch Samantha Stephens on the popular show Bewitched. She was born on April 15, 1933, in Los Angeles, California.
Before becoming a household name, Montgomery made her acting debut in an episode of Robert Montgomery Presents, which was her father’s television series. Her talent and versatility were showcased when she earned a Prime Emmy nomination for her portrayal of Lizzie Borden in The Legend of Lizzie Borden.
In addition to her success on screen, Montgomery also had a family life. She married William Asher in 1963 and the couple had three children together.
Montgomery continued to make appearances after Bewitched ended and also starred in the 1974 film A Case of Rape before passing away in 1995 at the age of 62.
