About Elizabeth Manley
Elizabeth Manley is a Canadian figure skater, born on August 7, 1965. She gained recognition for winning the silver medal at the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics and also securing a silver medal at the World championships.
Prior to her success, Manley faced challenges in her career, including placing 13th at the 1982 Worlds and failing to medal at the 1983 Canadian National Championships. Despite initially retiring from skating, she was later persuaded to return to the sport.
In addition to her athletic achievements, Manler has published two autobiographies: “Thumbs Up!” and “As I Am: My Life After the Olympics.” In 2006, she married junior hockey player Brent Theobald.
