Elizabeth Dole, born on July 29, 1936 in Salisbury, North Carolina, is a prominent figure known for her role as the wife of Senator Bob Dole and for serving as the President of the Red Cross from 1991 to 1999. In addition to this, she also held the position of the 20th United States Secretary of Labor from 1989 to 1990.
Prior to her rise to prominence, Dole worked as a student teacher at Melrose High School while simultaneously pursuing her Master’s degree from Harvard University. Notably, she served in the senate under Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush.
