Elizabeth Allen was an American TV actress born on January 25, 1929, in Jersey City, New Jersey. She gained recognition for her role as a creepy sales lady in an episode of The Twilight Zone and appeared in over 50 on-screen acting roles during her career. Notably, she portrayed Amelia Dedham in the 1963 film Donovan’s Reef.
Prior to her acting career, Allen began as a model for the Ford Agency before landing her first role on The Jackie Gleason Show in the 1950s. She earned two Tony Award nominations for her performances in The Gay Life and Do I Hear a Waltz? on Broadway.
Following a marriage to Baron Karl von Vietinghoff-Scheel from 1952 to 1955, Allen did not remarry after their divorce. Her final on-screen acting appearance was in the short film Trivia IMDbPro Book of Dreams: Dream 7 – Ruben’s Dream in 1995.
