About Elise Gravel
Elise Gravel is a Canadian children’s author and illustrator born on January 10, 1977 in Montreal, Canada. She gained recognition by winning a Governor General’s Award for Children’s Illustration in French for her book La cle à Molette in 2012. With over 190,000 followers on her elise_gravel Instagram account, she has established herself as a prominent figure in the world of children’s literature.
Prior to her success, Gravel developed a passion for reading through Archie comics during her childhood and later pursued studies in graphic design at college. To date, she has authored more than 30 books which have been translated into over a dozen languages. Her literary accomplishments were acknowledged with the Mister Christie’s Book Award in 2005.
Gravel hails from Montreal, Canada where she continues to inspire young readers with her imaginative works.
