About Elisa Strauss
Elisa Strauss is an American chef and baker known for being the CEO and founder of Confetti Cakes, a New York bakery that specializes in custom cakes. She was born on June 9, 1976, in the United States.
Before pursuing a career in culinary arts, Elisa attended Vassar College where she graduated with her degree in Studio Art in 1998. She then worked as a textile designer at Polo Ralph Lauren before attending pastry school at the Institute of Culinary Education.
Elisa has authored several cookbooks including The Confetti Cakes Cookbook (2007) and Confetti Cakes For Kids (2008). Her work gained further prominence when one of her cakes was featured as the wedding cake of Charlotte and Harry in the HBO series Sex and the City.
Familywise, Elisa has a brother named Eric M. Strauss who works as a producer for ABC News.
