Elisa Lam was a Canadian student born on April 30, 1991. She disappeared in 2013 at the Cecil Hotel in Los Angeles, with a security video showing her acting strangely in a hotel elevator before she vanished. Her body was found in a water tank on the hotel’s roof 19 days after she was reported missing.
Prior to her disappearance, Elisa Lam was a student at the University of British Columbia and had traveled alone to California. A documentary titled “Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel,” released by Netflix in 2021, delves into the circumstances surrounding her tragic death.
In 2015, a negligence suit filed by her parents, David and Yinna Lam, was dismissed by a judge.
