About Elena Samodanova
Elena Samodanova (born October 3, 1984) is a Russian dancer known for her appearances on Dancing with the Stars in various countries. She began as a featured dancer on the Australian version before joining the US show as a troupe member. In 2015, she served as a judge for DWTS in Russia.
Prior to her entertainment career, Samodanova studied drama and theatre at Moscow Theatre Arts University. Notably, she holds driver’s licenses in Australia, Russia, Hong Kong, and the US.
Coming from a family of performers – with both her mother Irina Samodanova and father being dancers – Elena married Gleb Savchenko in 2006. They have two daughters named Olivia and Zlata but separated in 2020.
