About Elena Hight
Elena Hight is a snowboarder who was born on August 17, 1989, in Kauai, Hawaii. She has represented the United States at the 2006 and 2010 Winter Olympics and has also won medals at the 2007 and 2011-2013 Winter X Games.
Before pursuing snowboarding, Hight grew up surfing in Hawaii and later transitioned her skills to snowboarding when she relocated to Lake Tahoe, California. She turned professional at the age of 13.
An interesting fact about Hight is that in her first year as a professional snowboarder, she became the first female to land a 900 in competition. Additionally, she graced the cover of Oxygen Magazine in February 2014.
Hight was born to Mike and Myra Hight and has three siblings.
